Magnificently scored, epically innovative and Biology-homaging, and spectacularly brought to life with Spielberg’s direction and top-notch animatronics, Jurassic Park stands as one of the greatest cinematic achievements_of_All-Time._9.3/10.

Most Memorable Moment: 1. T-Rex chase, 2. Wayne Knight Dilophosaurus horror scene.. man that was scary growing up,
Pros: Opening scene instantly makes the viewer feel danger and macabre, strong characters and acting by the legendary cast especially Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum (MVP with the iconic line of ‘Nature finds a way’), Richard Attenborough (who I LOVE that they included for biology homage since his brother David Attenborough is the voice of biology and nature documenatries,), B,D. Wong, Samuel L. Jackson, and Wayne Knight (who is hilarious and dark and makes for one of the scariest and most brutal death scenes I can remember in movies in acid spit in the eyes in the rain by the Dilophosaurus), phenomenal direction by Spielberg with his classic grand f=picture feel and meticulous crafting and storytelling, absolutely magnificent and sweeping score that remains one of the most iconic of All-Time up there with Superman and Star Wars, unbelievable animatronics and CGI for the time making the dinosaurs seem incredibly lifelike, old-fashioned sense of wonder achieved that makes you feel like a kid again and slaps a smile on any age viewers’ face, stunning island and park design/setting, love the easter eggs and references to everything from evolution and genetic sequences to 1933’s King Kong which first started monster movies, turns from majestic wonder childlike film to high-stakes and even SCARY disaster film when the dinosaurs start attacking and humanity is humbled,
Cons: pacing a little slow at times, middle act is a little overly sentimental and heavy-handed, Sam Neill could’ve been a tiny bit more expressive
Overall Rating: 9.3/10
