Darkest Hour

Led by Gary Oldman’s iconic performance as Churchill, Darkest Hour is a strong, transportive biopic, even if occasionally favoring fact-relay over narrative. 7.9/10.

Plot Synopsis: The fate of Western Europe hangs on Winston Churchill in the early days of World War II. The newly appointed British prime minister must decide whether to negotiate with Hitler or fight on against incredible odds.
