A Pup Named Scooby-Doo!

Re-energizing the Scooby franchise with terrific kid-focused animation, pacing, & great new monsters, all while staying within canon, APNSC is pure Saturday-morning cereal-filled cartoon gold. 8.6/10.

Plot Synopsis: The Mystery Inc. gang, as junior-high-aged teens and Scooby as a puppy, works together to solve supernatural mysteries, chase villains and dance to rock ‘n’ roll songs. Shaggy, Freddy, Daphne, Velma and Scooby-Doo get into all sorts of funny situations and, spoiler alert, the monsters all turn out to be bad guys in costumes.

Pros: Incredible new spin on the show making it for kids that I remember as one of the fondest memories I had watching saturday morning cartoons in my own childhood, phenomenal voice acting with all-new voices for everyone except Shaggy and Scooby who are too iconic to ever be replaced – good choice, great new soundtrack and theme song that is vivacious and adds life to the show, faster pace with more scares and more gags, good new characters like Red Herring and well-designed monsters and mysteries – a huge problem with the original cartoon as legendary and nostalgic it is the monsters seemed to get stupid and like they stopped tring after a while, re-energized the franchise injecting it with much need life after some failed experiments like scrappy, etc., amazing new animation and motif making it kid-friendly and expanding the scooby mythos,

Cons: Sometimes gets a little too childish, really wish they’d done a couple of the classic SC monsters in this new style and modernized them as imo this version even improves upon the original now that it really knows what it is and what it’s trying to achieve
