Trippy in striking visual-FX with a perfectly-cast Benedict Cumberbatch-neurosurgeon and refreshing eulogization to the Medical world, Doctor Strange doesn’t live up to its hippocratic oath of genre-innovation/evolution: a formulaic origin, entirely-forgettable joke of a Kaecilius villain wasting Mads Mikkelsen, white-washing of Asian culture, & tonal inconsistencies. 3.7/10.
