Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore (2022)

Though its ad-lib rewrite to make Dumbledore canonically LGBTQ+ is celebration-worthy – and a surprise, given the context of H.P.’s discriminatory matriarch J.K. Rowling, it’s paradoxically counterbalanced by WB’s imbecilic recast of dangerous precedence in Hollywood: firing domestic abuse *victim* Johnny Depp, while rewarding his *abuser* Amber Heard… in what’s otherwise a drab, washed-out, ~blasé conclusion to a forgettable prequel trilogy w/o any of originals’ magic. 3/10.

Plot Synopsis: Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards and witches. They soon encounter an array of old and new beasts as they clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers.
