Licorice Pizza (2021)

A schizo paragon of sui generis auterism in the 1970’s San Fernando Valley, Paul Thomas Anderson navigates the landmines of first-love in a coming-of-age fever dream as loaded – perhaps: too much so – with comedy as idiosyncrasy & romance, rocked by a cast of remarkable chemistry and dazzle; his best film since 2001’s Punch Drunk Love. 7.5/10.

Plot Synopsis: Alana Kane and Gary Valentine grow up, run around and fall in love in California’s San Fernando Valley in the 1970s.
