Night of The Living Dead (1968)

Single-handedly proof-of-concepting the entire genre and American film legacy of zombies from folklore tremors, Romero’s 1968 NOTLD is a tightly-edited, conceptually-scary, nicely-(farm)-locationed, & groundbreaking historical Horror masterpiece. 9/10.

Plot Synopsis: The dead come back to life and eat the living. Several people barricade themselves inside a rural house in an attempt to survive the night. Outside are hordes of relentless, shambling zombies who can only be killed by a blow to the head.
