The Greatest Pixar/Disney Project Of All-Time, WALL-E is a bittersweet, dark, heartbreaking retrofuturistic galactic odyssey of nostalgia, environmentalism, religion, humanity, archeology, consumerism, artificial intelligence, food, universal demographics, anthropomorphization, epic scale, visual resplendence, the dual-edged sword of mankind’s frankenstinian god-complexed relationship of technology, etc. – all w/o need for protagonist words; the rare amalgamation of modern CGI with old-school craftsmanship and limitless imagination proving, w. thought-provocative subtext and tragicomedy/romance balance, symbiosis is possible in children’s media & the 2000’s. 9.7/10.
