Though it’s a major [sadly-commercialized/basicized, contrived, overly-edgy] blockbuster step-down from the dark, elegant masterpiece reboot-for-the-ages of Casino Royale it directly-sequels but pales in comparison to, Quantum Of Solace does hit the elusive target of its genre’s promise with some of the most epic, ambitious, splashy action sequences in years. 6.2/10.
Plot Synopsis: Following the death of Vesper Lynd, James Bond (Daniel Craig) makes his next mission personal. The hunt for those who blackmailed his lover leads him to ruthless businessman Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a key player in the organization which coerced Vesper. Bond learns that Greene is plotting to gain total control of a vital natural resource, and he must navigate a minefield of danger and treachery to foil the plan.
