Carrey oftentimes, Sonic 2 is a major +1 improvement over the original made specifically to celebrate the fandom who fought for its cinexistence – deep video game lore and celebration [down to exact box art recreations], epic Knuckles-led character appearances, over-the-top VFX live/animation spectacle, wacky golden-age arcade nostalgia charm. Put a ring on it. 6.2/10.

Plot Synopsis: After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove that he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of a mystical emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations.
