Though it’s a visual & technical coup-de-grâce any cartoon junkie or historian will gush over by its painstaking [game/indie-true] recreation & celebration of ’30’s Golden Age Fleischer Animation styles (even though we desperately wish there was more grain-filter), TCS can’t help but feel.. plebeian & wrong by how overly goofy it is – preferring cliché faux-edge adulty comedy & vaudeville over storytelling and capitalization on its dark overworld/lore worthy of better cinematization. 5/10.
