The Fairly OddParents (2001)

From its jazzy opening theme song on, TFO synergizes as the freeform type for cartoons: the inauguration of Butch Hartman’s reign over the 2000’s genre, to-date one of the best explorations of magic on TV story-wise – often sugarcoating complex, hyperimaginative fantasy concepts/themes w. effortlessly-watchable kids fun, a balanced character-canvas enlivened by notable vocal work, epic meta-references, & nice aestheticization. 8.2/10.

Plot Synopsis: Timmy Turner, a 10-year-old boy, has had it with his babysitter! He summons his fairy godparents who have the power to grant him wishes. Some of the wishes are really helpful, others don’t work out so well. Timmy’s godparents Wanda and Cosmo have ideas of their own and always lead Timmy on interesting adventures.
