Though it’s frustratingly overfocused on melodrama and cult members’ interpersonal relationships, when The Following focuses on its serial killer horror/drama, it’s sadistically twisted, well-acted, & bone-chilling – as much so as its all-time great Fever Ray theme and Edgar Allen Poe crux motif. 7/10.
