The Pursuit Of Happyness (2006)

The greatest performance of Will Smith’s career and bluesy, soul-infused exaltation of fatherhood w. sociological analysis of poverty’s shackles on the aeriform dreams of the gifted working-class, TPOH is a highly-inspirational, melancholic, gravitational urban jungle fairy tale of pure emotion – darkness juxtaposed with unbridled hope. 8.9/10.

Plot Synopsis: Life is a struggle for single father Chris Gardner (Will Smith). Evicted from their apartment, he and his young son (Jaden Christopher Syre Smith) find themselves alone with no place to go.
